There were 32 instances of leptospirosis and 37 cases of novel coronavirus collected from June 2020 to October 2021 at the same hospital. Patients in each group had their medical histories, blood work, and a chest computed tomography scan. Results: Comparability is shown by the fact that the two groups had no statistically significant differences in terms of gender, age, or other general information (P > 0.05). Comparatively, leptospirosis group has fewer family members than novel Coronaviruses because of their frequent exposure to flooding. Correlation between cough and sore throat was not statistically significant in the new coronavirus group (P > 0.05), and myalgia seemed to be lower than in the leptospirosis group. Leptospira patients had lower white blood cell, neutrophil, C-reactive protein (CRP), creatine, Cr, and creatine kinase (CK) levels than the control group. Additionally, there was a substantial difference in blood platelet (BP) levels between the leptospira and BP groups. No statistical significance was found for Eosinophils, Hemoglobin (EO) and Hemoglobin (HE). For both new coronavirus and leptospirosis, the rate of unilateral and bilateral transmission was statistically significant. based on the results of the statistical investigation. Conclusions: The epidemiological, seasonal, and clinical distinctions between COVID-19 and leptospirosis may have a role in the therapy of these cases.
ER -
