Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of compound dexamethasone acetate cream combined with massage in the treatment of iodine contrast medium extravasation during CT enhancement or CT angiography (CTA). Methods: Twenty patients with iodine contrast medium extravasation during CT enhancement or CT angiography (CTA) were retrospectively analyzed. They were placed in the supine position with the swollen upper limb on the bed, or in the sitting position with the swollen upper limb on the armrest of the chair. Hold the patient's swollen upper limb with the left hand, take an appropriate amount of compound dexamethasone acetate cream and apply it to the swollen area. Push the patient's proximal end in a straight line for 3 to 4 minutes. The massage time is 4 to 5 minutes each time, and the interval between each treatment is 30 minutes. Results: In 20 patients with extravasation of iodine contrast medium, the swelling subsided completely after compound dexamethasone acetate cream combined with massage therapy, the pain disappeared completely, and there was no erythema, blisters, and necrosis on the local skin, and the limbs moved freely. 2 patients had upper limb swelling of 10 cm and were cured within 8 hours of treatment; 5 patients had upper limb swelling of 6 to 10 cm and were cured within 10.5 to 15.5 hours of treatment; 13 patients had upper limb swelling of 7 to 14 cm and were cured within 20 to 24 hours of treatment. Conclusion: The effect of compound dexamethasone acetate cream combined with massage in the treatment of iodine contrast medium extravasation is good.
